I would not recommend any of the M-Audio/Avid products (or any of the miriad of cheap midi interfaces out there.) due to slow response, if any. and if you don't need the full 8X8 i/o then check out their smaller models.

Motu also make a cheaper version without SMPTE (iof you don't need it) for about a $100 less. This is the one I use currently and it works perfectly in Logic 9.1.8 and 10.8.3 You would be better off looking at more modern hardware, that wil provide full support within Logic now and in the future. This link will highlight some of the possibly issues you might face.(and it was this out of date back in 2009 when the article was written!) and while it was extremely good in it's time, I wouldn't really recommend it these days. The Unitor is a very old piece of hardware.
